General Information

Team 254, The Cheesy Poofs, has evolved over the years from the smallest FIRST Robotics program in the country in 1999, at a struggling high school, to a well-established organization based at NASA Ames Research Center (ARC). The team started at Broadway High School in 1998 and became an FRC team in 1999. In 2001, upon Broadway's closure, Team 254 moved to Bellarmine College Prep, where it has stayed to the present day. While the team's members have changed, the Cheesy Poofs have continued to flourish.

VRC Team 254 first began competing in the 2008 FTC season as Team 567. Upon FIRST's decision to switch to a new robotics platform, the team transitioned to the Vex Robotics Competition for the 2009 season and expanded to form multiple 254 teams. Despite entering only its third season of VEX competition, VRC254 continues to grow because of its commitment to character-oriented, student-driven success.

For the most part, this site is a summarized version of the VRC sections of www.team254.com. Please visit our website to learn more about Team 254 and its work in the local and national community, in both Vex and FIRST Robotics.
