One time we ran a match (back in "Nothing But Net") with one battery only powering the cortex and the drive train. We forgot a battery for the power expander so we were a pushbot that match.

In Skyrise I used a slightly larger version of the clawbot and won state

Probably when I used a total of 0 bearings on my first robot... as well as dremeling peices that I thought I would need then ended up not using them. Also in one match this season, I was driving and forgot what alliance I was. Picked up the other color mobile goal, then parked in the wrong color as well.

I can see forgetting your power expander, my team got ours about a month ago and I can't even count how many times I forgot to plug it in.

Power expander heated up a lot, started smoking, caught fire, by this time I was unplugging the battery, power expander melted.

I forgot to plug in our power expander literally for all but 2 of our matches at an NBN tournament one time.

Building our mobile goal intake last, which made it so our driver actually drove better as an external stacker rather than as a internal stacker.

How do you have that much heat?!

Forgetting to plug in our battery during states for 2 matches and getting our claw tangled in our pneumatic tubing in another at the same competition during Starstruck

This was back when I was in middle school (NBN).

We were testing the robot out and one of our team members decided to turn the robot on and just leave it on the table with the controller...
Yep. The robot drove off of the table. We spent a week fixing up the damage in time for the competition.

Thankfully that has never happened after that one time.

Once I was really sleep deprived and I needed to reverse a sensor value (don't remember with one, probably an encoder) and I forgot you could just multiply by -1 so I made a function that would convert a number to a string, convert that to a mutable char array, then modify it (creating another array in the process) to either add or remove a - sign, then convert it into a string and then an int.

That is actually amazing. I am simultaneously impressed and ashamed on your behalf. Thanks for sharing that one.

It was at the US Open when we were in line for skills. Robot fell on our custom flywheel "hood". Lost all the matches afterward.
