    Okay so my team wants to do autonomous, we already entered one competition and we don't know how we are going to start it because it seams like you can't map it to a button on the control to press when the bell thing rings. What we want to do is use a vex part that can hear the bell thing ring then it does the autonomous mode coding we programmed it to do. any suggestions.

  2. Don't have it hear the bell.Just have it drive as soon as auton starts

    The competition controller that you plug into will handle autonomous and driver control management.* Assuming you're using RobotC, make sure you're using the competition template and put your autonomous code in the autonomous() section. This code will be run in autonomous mode.

    * Technically false, but for all intents and purposes ;-)

  4. Okay, In order for it to be correct for our robot and not go wrong during competition we need it 100% accurate including measurements and stuff.

  5. i recommend that you use encoders and a gyroscope in order to get the most accurate values and consequently the most accurate aquton
