    I was curious to see if a flywheel would work because the plastic balls don't flex like NBN balls. The flywheel works very well.

    Not necessarily, it is running 1:25 and best case scenario, the motors are set to torque. That should be able to hold itself fine as most teams that I know are running 1:25 HS 2 motors for their flywheel this year.

    Battery expander exists for a reason for cortex systems. You can reduce the motor usage with a ratchet system.

    V5 motors shouldn't be an issue.
