I don't know if anyone noticed that this changed from the original information.

I have some old systems with VEXnet 1.0 keys that are now not able to be traded in. I did not convert all my systems to VEXnet 2.0 that I used in class.

Looks like I will also have to register 20 teams this coming season to trade in all my kits???

    Regards,
    Kevin

I would wait a little bit to see how VEX is going to handle the education market. So far I think it is focusing on the competition side. I would hope there is an education trade in of some sort as well.

Apologies for the thread necromancy, but does anyone have an update on trade-ins for the education market? My teams have been inactive for several years now, but I have a Cortex + Vexnet controller + Vexnet 1.0 keys that I'd love to trade in. I fall in the hobbyist/education market (I volunteer with tournaments, and was thinking of creating some tutorials/web resources for teams).

I haven't run the numbers, but it sounds like it still might be more cost-effective for me to register a team and purchase the Vexnet 2.0 key set, then trade in my Cortex, than to purchase the V5 bundle at full price.

I, for one, am looking forward to hearing about any other trade-in options.
