    A) Does the LCD screen still connect to the V5 cortex
    B) I need to make a program for the LCD screen that when the robot is on it will display the batteries power level and temperature until the robot is turned off and will update itself when the battery temp and level changes. how can i make that or can someone make it for me?
    C) How do i connect a Vex LCD screen to a Vex EDR arms cortex?

    Just a few comments. It is NOT the V5 Cortex. The New robot brain is known as the V5 Brain, it is the replacement for the Cortex.
    The LCD screen does not and cannot connect to the V5 brain. Nor does it need to as the V5 brain and the V5 controller both have built in LCD screens.
    I do not know if it is possible for the LCD to be programmed to display the battery temperature information from the Cortex as I don't think the Cortex had the capability to measure that. I think you can get the battery power level (at least the voltage).

    Speculation: probably not, but it doesn't matter.

    V5 has a built-in touchscreen

    @Masterchief24 The LCD for the Cortex won't connect to the V5 Brain in any competition-legal way. It's heavily obsoleted by the built-in color display anyway, so I don't know why you'd want to.

    You see my team may not use the v5 equipment due to the amount of motors we get, how could i program the v5 so that it displays battery power and temperature on the cortex.

    Are you planning on using V5 or Cortex? If you have the option between one, choose V5, the technology is much superior, and it's 8 motors will go much further than cortex motors (8 v5 motors is equivalent to 18-24 393's)

    A) No, because the V5 Robot Brain doesn't have any UART serial ports.

    B) There are some commands listed in the V5 System Architecture page (https://www.vexrobotics.com/v5-architecture.html ) in the Brain Performance Section on the Vex Robotics website that can probably help you. You'll probably figure out a way to incorporate it from there. Some examples include:
    when( BRAIN.LCD.PRESSED )
    Battery.batteryLevel()
    Battery.temperature()

    If you still don't know how to incorporate it, try to wait for some tutorials on youtube that can effectively explain it or maybe someone more knowledgeable in that aspect may jump in this thread.

    C) Buy a serial Y-Cable and connect the two ends to the LCD Display, and the other single end to one of the UART serial ports on the cortex.

    The V5 we will have it in october though

    I'm sorry i didn't use the correct terminology. Still getting used to the change in names.
