@ChampionEevee I've wanted to make a 3D model of your robot, but the program I am currently using does not support the assets the models for each part comes in (.STEP). Is there a way I can simply convert to .stl without an external program or find a separate .stl list?
As stated by @kmmohn,
.stl files are meshes, not parametric CAD models. The
.stl file format, as a result, loses information compared to its parametric counterparts.
Solidworks, Autodesk Fusion 360, and Autodesk Inventor are indeed free-for-education, industry-standard parametric CAD tools.
FreeCAD is another great tool that also supports the necessary features for VEX. It is completely free and tends to be a bit easier on system resources.
