1115A Warren toss up qualifier

So the Warren toss up competition was tonight and I’d have to say we didn’t do very well. We went 3-2 and was knocked out in the first round of elimination. We had a lot of bad luck with partners and even got DQ’d one match for accidentally touching the opponent’s hanging bar. The robot worked as expected and generally did a great job. Something we need to improve on is a big ball manipulator and/or a hanging mechanism. Our fellow Greenfield teams also did well with 1115C going 4-1 and also being knocked out of elimination in the first round. We recorded all of ours and team Cs matches and they should be up some time soon. I will probably post the links here. For the next competition in February, we plan to change the whole intake and lifting mechanism possibly to a 6 bar lift.

What teams won this tournament? The results are not yet posted on robotevents.

323Z, 1193A, 4417A won the tournament. We beat 5003, 323X, 323B in the finals.

We will be posting a full breakdown of the competition soon.

A breakdown would be a misnomer here… a full research paper on ref rulings and such might-just might- suffice here.

Zionsville performed decently well: all of our teams in attendance made it to eliminations with 7702 and 7708 making it to their divisional finals (I was in division 2, 8 was in division 1 against Jesse).

Yeah it was pretty tough competition. We barely made it to eliminations, but got picked by the last seed and lost to 323zx 5003 and 323b.
