wow, I really like your use of the vision sensor. I was wondering how your hood is deployed.
Our vision sensor usage is going to heavily increase; we will add another one for an auto cycling macro. The hood deployment is quite simple, the hood is constantly under elastic tension from elastics at the back. A rubber band is attached to the hood which holds it down until the band is released by the rotation of a gear (one that powers the flywheel). There are quite simple and effective ways to create passive deployments from moving parts (generally using elastics that can be released).
How did you line up to the goals?
A vision sensor is used in a macro, it finds the green target, lines up, gets to the correct distance and fires while holding down one button.
