Me and my team have been scouring the VEX Forums for weeks looking for anyone selling 1x2x1x15 C channels or any news about them. Is there any chance that VEX is going to bring them back outside of kits? If anyone is willing to sell any of theirs from kits, please reach out via reply.
why don’t you by 35 long channels and cut them?

Actually, currently we are also short 1x2x1x35 C channels, and cutting them while we are short doesn’t seem like the greatest idea.
well If you’re looking to buy 15 long channels, you may as well buy 35 long ones and cut them. you’ll probably be getting a better deal than if vex were to sell 15 long ones.

Depending on what area ur from, vex can ship really quickly. I’m in Texas so it only takes a few days max if the item’s in stock.
@64540A the isssue is not that they’re not shipping, i’m looking for them since vex has discontinued them

but the reason vex discontinued them is that people just bough 35 long ones and cut them, and as such there was almost no demand for 15 long c channels.

@64540A no, we’re not really strugging with funding since the majority of our pieces are from previous years and most of us aren’t entirely looking forward the cost of something to cut the metal that doesn’t leave the metal sharp enough to stab someone

@xenon27 same as i just said for qwerty2. it does make sense though, since looking at the forums the messages are from sometime around/before 2017.

You can get a cheap hacksaw for 20 bucks, and you’ll be sawing away in no time!

if you can’t cut metal right now, I would seriously advise you to buy a hacksaw or something cheap and easy like that. Not being able to cut metal is an enormous constraint, severely limiting your abilities, and forcing you to do stuff like asking people to sell you pre-cut metal on the forums.

thanks to all of you! we found some relatively cheap hand saws, and most of the supervising parents know how to use hand saws, so we will probably end up getting a saw. anyone who does have any to sell, (though probably not) still feel free to reach out.
