2 Notebook

So our engineering notebook is very long and it’s getting laggy continueing it on one slideshow. Could we create two notebooks and still turn in both for worlds and stuff? And if so would we just submit both notebooks or put it into a google drive?

Answering your question about two notebooks, yes you can have two books. However, since I have a physical notebook, I’m not sure how you would submit it.

Teams are allowed to post a link to a g-drive folder that has multiple documents. It is not ideal, but it is not uncommon. Can I ask, how long is your notebook that it is too slow to work in a single document?

IDK about the submission method, but in 2023 515r had 2 nbs I believe, one of the best nb I ever seen.

Your digital notebook submission can only be one link, and it must go directly to your notebook, so your idea is not possible.
I do have a suggestion though- when my students’ notebooks get laggy they do start a new (continued) notebook that they actually use for day to day use, then when it comes time to submit their notebook in Robot Events, they copy the new notebook slides to the original notebook, so that it has all slides. They then download the complete notebook as a pdf, because pdfs tend to load faster, and we don’t want judges waiting on our notebooks to load. I upload the pdf to my teacher google drive so that I can create a “share” link to upload in Robot Events. This process takes a bit of time, but at least they are not dealing with laggy notebooks every day, and judges are not inconvenienced.

About 400 pages however with worlds we expect it going to 600

@katuwa.nyuraj30 of course, you can submit 2 notebooks through the robot events website. Here is a how to: https://v5rc-kb.recf.org/hc/en-us/articles/9662615886487-How-to-Submit-a-Digital-Engineering-Notebook

Actually, you can only submit one link to the notebook. The CJC in the V5RC Judging Q&A gave guidance on multiple files/volume submission and name convention:
