VRC has their thread, so to liven up the space, I thought I would ask, what are you guys looking forward to in next year’s game? I believe someone did a guess based on the price of each object, I will try to find that.
I really want a game, kinda like next level and squared away mooshed together. With pyramids that you must flip over in order to put a ball inside of them, then score them on horizontal scoring posts. You also how to shoot balls into a bin in the center, like bank shot. There would also be a bar hanging out from two sides of the bin which robots have to hang onto.
When I saw Rise Above, I thought that there was no way that a team would score 27 elements in 60 seconds. Guess I was wrong about that.
I wonder how in person would have gone this year because with the in-person teamwork field being so mixed up, riser wise, the biggest challenge of the season would definitely have been game planning and communication.
I don’t know if Vex will ever find a ‘non-maximizable’ game, but will be interesting to see them try.
I don’t know if you’re just talking about IQ games, but many VRC games have been impossible to max in skills. Just look at Tower Takeover with 66 cubes on the field.
I think there might be a large mass of objects deposited somewhere.
Yeah, looking back on that, I think that I might have been wrong in that there may be exclusively balls. Here’s my post about that a while ago if anyone wanted it:
Also, something to keep in mind is that the VIQC games have pretty much always been somewhat similar to the VRC/V5 games in any given year. I have a feeling that they may keep that trend for the coming years as well…
I’m looking for the same thing I was hoping last year - scoring that wouldn’t be “undone” by a touch of careless driving.
Next Level was borderline criminal in that, particularly with high-performing teams, anything less than perfection often ended in tragedy.
Crossover, Bank Shot, and Ring Master were pretty good in that once items were scored, they were pretty secure.
