2022 - 2023 VEX Robotics Competition - Spin Up

I didn’t want to start a new topic but does anyone know when the game and field elements will ship to California?

I’m not in that region but our fields are shipping mid-may. You can call or email the vex sales rep to know for sure about your order.

May I ask when you ordered your game elements? Just for reference.

There is a vertical expansion limit (see SG5)

An alliance starts on the same side as it’s low goal.

Hey everyone asking about quite ordinary rules. There’s a thing called a Game Manual which describes all the limits on how you may play the game. In this Game Manual, there is a Table of Contents which has a list of all the rules. If you click on the rule number, it will take you to that rule.

Here are some recent cases where this could have been used.

We preordered the game elements before the game was released.

Is it possible to pick up more than one disc to throw to the basket?

I would strongly recommend that you read the manual. Your answer will be found there.

I should say that this isn’t the exact axial mount you need because the shaft would rotate freely. The 36 tooth gear and the specific diameter peg that sits in the over-sized hole should both be rigidly mounted to the roller. They coordinate to provide the reluctance to rotate. I’m not certain. I think that it was less than a week after they were first available to pre-order.

Are you allowed to just make a pushbot an push disks into the low goal?
Cuz it seems like you can.

If the manual does not prohibit and action, it is allowed.

Also can you just roll paper/any legal thing in vex that resembles paper on the ground in th endgame?

The same answer is true.

With the additional that the game manual prohibits certain materials.

Thoughts on a blocker using a flexible material that stands upright when stationary, fits within the 2" diameter limit but when moving it wobbles back and forth?

Obviously it would need to have a limiter to ensure it doesn’t exceed the horizontal limit.

My thoughts are it would be illegal as if you were to pause time, the blocker would no longer fit in the 2" diameter

which is something that would be really cool if you could do.

Your fields, or the game elements?
I’m wondering if anyone knows when the game elements specifically will be shipping.
