2022 - 2023 VEX Robotics Competition - Spin Up

The same answer is true.

With the additional that the game manual prohibits certain materials.

Thoughts on a blocker using a flexible material that stands upright when stationary, fits within the 2" diameter limit but when moving it wobbles back and forth?

Obviously it would need to have a limiter to ensure it doesn’t exceed the horizontal limit.

My thoughts are it would be illegal as if you were to pause time, the blocker would no longer fit in the 2" diameter

which is something that would be really cool if you could do.

Your fields, or the game elements?
I’m wondering if anyone knows when the game elements specifically will be shipping.

The footer in appendix A is missing the released date. image

I apologize for the poor nomenclature. I was referring to the Spin Up Game elements.

Heads up everyone, the website has now changed the status of the game elements when trying to order to ā€œships in 1 week!ā€ Let me clarify in case there is any discrepancy, this is NOT my order status but rather the subtitle of the product page. Aka where it used to say ā€œpre-orderā€ and where it can also say backorder if ever needed.

I could not find this in the manual, but i did find that and autonomous tie ends in each team receiving 5 points. What about the autonomous winner? Do they get 10 points? I could not find this, but if you have please point me towards it.

It’s in the Scoring section. Look on page v or 5 at the index.

I have looked here, but to no success of finding the score. I am looking again to see if I find it. Thank you for the help.

Edit: I found it at the top of the page above where it sent me. It is 10 points image

Honestly you could use pneumatics for an aiming system for a disc launcher. Just use them to angle the launcher allowing you to aim.

The issue with pneumatics is the stroke length of the air cylinder cannot be adjusted (only the power of it, via the flow limiter which cannot be changed mid match), so you would really only have 2 shooter positions, which would be pretty limiting imo.

Just use a motor to adjust the flow limiter, dur.

And if you don’t have any motors to spare just use another cylinder driving a cam shaft to adjust the limiter

I’m pretty sure this question has been asked before, but I’m just wondering how high up the rollers are on the side of the field. I’m trying to design a robot using protobot, and I’m just wanting to get the height right for a roller mechanism. Also I have checked the rules and I can’t find the height anywhere in them.

Read the game manual. Go to apendex A. The drawings are there

Nah, it’ll be overtake ocean, fits the whacky name every couple of years and water game, though I think a fire game would be better🤪
