2775J State Reveal/Highlights

With virtual worlds incoming, I thought I’d finish our State Highlights, where we achieved skills second place, tournament finalists, and excellence award.

If you have any questions about our robot or strategy, please ask away!

See you next Vex year!

Awesome robot and video! It was good working with you at states even though we didn’t officially win. Can’t wait to see what you guys come up with next year and possibly do it again.

0:45 rip our tray
You guys did amazing! it’s been good working with you ever since 8th grade! I heard you guys were SO close to beating us in skills in that last run! I want to see your run! (what is your unofficial score?)
Also about the finals match, what a coincidence literally NO ONE saw that cube cross. You guys definitely could have won the tournament.
cya next season!

Wouldn’t really call that a coincidence. That was a clean finals 1 match edit tho…

I mean it happens sometimes, you live, let go. and learn to be more attentive to the small details and rules.

Sadly nobody filmed our skills run, but it was within a second of scoring 119. (Nothing unexpected, just a slower 2114X with a 7 stack and a 10 stack :stuck_out_tongue:) And yeah, I’m looking forward to competing with y’all next season!

No one pointed out the cube cross. everyone missed it. every single ref on that field missed it. I talked to the head ref after the comp; she definitely missed it. Everyone should have been paying more attention. but in the refs’ defense, 9364A and D would have changed their strategy had they have lost auton. They would not have left up only a 5 stack in the corner without winning auton. It would not have necessarily changed the output of the match. the match would be completely different, and there is just no way to know for sure what would have happened. but yes, you live and learn. unfortunate the tournament could not have been fully accurate.

I agree. It was first and foremost our fault for not catching the cube cross. Not the refs. And yes, the match would have gone differently. One mistake doesn’t need to define the tournament like that.

Yes. Of course the strategy changes. The match would have been quite a bit more high scoring imo. Overall it was well played on both sides. Look, I’m not trying to say that the results should have been changed. 9364A and D won at the end of the day. I just do not think coincidence is the best way to put that. That is all I am saying.
