Should online challenge work, outreach, scouting, strategy, etc. be included in the notebook or just in the interview?
IIRC (It’s been a while and I can’t be bothered loading up a 130mb pdf), we had a brief outline of our outreach efforts and online challenge work on the back of our Notebook. If you refer back to the OP, you’ll see that one of the first things we did in the Notebook was analysing the game and creating strategies. This helps as then you can create designs based off strategies and making your robot work for you instead of the other way around
We didn’t write down any scouting information on our Notebook( we usually just use them for competitions) but we kept a log of our skills practises as we got to the more competitive part of the season, in preparation of Nationals and Worlds to make sure we were focused on improving.
We then went into detail about everything you mentioned in the interview. We mentioned our online challenge work and our outreach efforts at once as they were all documented on our website
This is great
Sorry to come so late to the party, but is there an actual rubric published by VEX that you use or is this just what works based on your experience and discussion with other teams?
I really appreciate you sharing. We are a 2nd year middle school team and one of our goals this year is to improve our EN. This will be a big help!
Here’s a rubric from a few years ago:
It should be pretty similar to whatever rubric they use now. Good luck!
This is so amazing. Thank you!
