3 Things On VEX In The Zone

I recently read the VEX In The Zone Rulebook and saw a few interesting things.

  1. I saw that you are not able to grab/grasp the opponent’s mobile goals in any way, but this got me thinking whether we could potentially push the mobile goals away from them.
  2. I saw that there is no <SG7> rules yet as they skipped from <SG6> to <SG8> and that got me wondering whether that rules exists or not, and if it does, is it regarding mobile goals or cones (any of the scoring objects).
  3. Also, I saw something interesting that is different from last year’s rules is that now the rules specifically state that the robots must be programmed by students, not teams (which may have included advisors).

That is step one!

Step two is to check it the official q and a. @OverlyOptimisticProgramer did this for you.

Step three is to post your question there if they aren’t answered yet. Answers here are interesting, but nothing is official unless it comes from Karthik. But, when Karthik posts there that makes it an official addition to the manual you just read.
