Just thought I would post our reveal here, feel free to ask about the bot if needed
Do you plan on making an explanation video for your bot (If you already have please let me know) or just individually answer questions on here?
I don’t plan on making an explanation as of now, but if a lot of people are asking for one and/or asking questions about the bot, I might. I don’t think the bot is rather complex though (I might be a bit biased ).
I have a question, how does your cata/slapper retract with no reduction before the slip gear? (I’m talking about how you run no reduction(12 to 36) Because my cata need reduction to pull it down
We use two green motors, which may be it, but besides that I’m not really sure. It just seems to work. Maybe it’s because the bands aren’t super tensioned? Sorry for not having a very definitive answer.
Thats ok, thanks for the answer.
Sorry for the late questions. Can we see how you motorized the AWP arm
Don’t have any recent pictures (rebuld ) but here are some older ones. Hope this helps you out!
It is just mounted on the same shaft as our motor with some lockplates.
(P.S. this could 100% be pneumatic if you wanted to save a motor)
got to love cable management.
Don’t worry, its been improved with the redesign lol
Thank you! Still pretty set on the pneumatic powered AWP arm but just wanted to explore options.
The intake is kinda wonky, Why is that?
It looks wonky because it was pretty scuffed . Once we moved the mounting point down and back it became better though.
Before
After
Cable management is organizjng your wires so that they don’t get entangled with anything else, are able to trace it from end to end, and look neat
It was kinda meant as a joke because our cable management is awful
