3d printed pneumatics management

Can I 3d print parts to attach the tubbing for vex VRC pneumatics to our robot. This would only be for tubbing management. Would this still count as a functional pieces?

No, not an option. R18g tells you specifically that you can’t have 3D printed parts unless they are decoration without function, or a license plate holder. The function of your parts would be to organize tubing. 7f tells you specifically that you can use commercially available tubing organization elements. Why do the rules stop you printing and using clips? It’s a formal choice by the folk responsible for the whole situation. There is a long ongoing thread complaining about the exclusion of 3D printing from VRC. You can do it in VexU.

I think this is a grey area in <R7> f.

Commercially available items used solely for bundling or wrapping of 2-wire, 3-wire, 4-wire, or V5 Smart Cables, and/or pneumatic tubing are allowed. These items must solely be used for the purposes of cable/tubing protection, organization, or management. This includes but is not limited to electrical tape, cable carrier, cable track, etc. It is up to inspectors to determine whether a component is serving a function beyond protecting and managing cables and tubing.

I think a 3D printed part could qualify. The only terms in the rule I think would be of concern is that its not commercially available. This is a good question for the Q&A.
