3D printed rj11 cable organizer

A recent post on cable management sent me down a rabbit hole to design a different solution.

This printable bracket currently comes in 4 sizes and allows the V5 cables to be clipped into a dummy rj11 port, effectively holding them in place while also protecting the cable ends. The bracket could be used alone or with a partner bracket for the other end of the cables.

If you try them out, any feedback would be appreciated.

Looking forward to trying this out - trying to decide to have them on cabinet door, or on peg board…

Have to wait until I finish printing trophy toppers for our HS State Championships (13 hour print run for batches of four :frowning: )

Saw that thread and was waiting for the post, we have wire management but not anything good, showed it to a mentor and they thought it was pretty smart. I’ll let you know how it goes.

Can you give printed size of 2x5 - I did a test print and it seems small - my phone rj11 plugs do not fit in. So I am working if Orca slicer is not printing correct size.

thanks

Here are the dimensions from the original CAD file.

I first looked for dimensions online but found multiple sketches with slightly varied numbers. So in the end, I took a caliper to some cable ends… results were in the range I was finding online. My first print worked, but was a bit snug. (I am used to my printers being off on inside tolerances) I increased a few lateral dimensions about 3% and it worked fine for my printer

I went back and took a caliper to my print… the dimensions of the ports were pretty spot on… 0.05 mm off at the most
