3D printed vex controller paddle files now public!

I’m so glad they ruled this legal. VEX controller paddles by Antichamber - Thingiverse

You are not the only one! I will be designing some, might share if they come out good.

What is fragile about them? The hinge area is my fear, so I will see what I can come up with when I get around to it.

Use triangle infill with >40%.

What orientation did you have these setup in when you printed them?

would this also apply to cnc pieces that are stronger?

I expect cnc peices will also be legal from the way the gdc has ruled on all the controller add-ons

See im not sure I could get away with it because his question specifically asked about 3d printed pieces. I may ask this just to be sure.

I have modified the fragile parts (everything in the hinge area) to be much stronger, test parts are printing as you read this

Cool, keep us updated please.

Man I wish I had a 3d printer

Maybe this xmas

there may be a 3d printed kit just around the corner

Halfway through this print I realised I used %30 infill

What printer do you have?

lulzbot TAZ 6

$2,500? Wholly cow where are you getting that B R E A D?

+1

I though mine was expensive… LOL
They are great printers though, I’m jelly

Seems to be much much stronger

Finished one side

@antichamber these are pretty cool, after you’ve optimized the design do you think there will be a point where you’ll sell some on eBay?
