So I’m a little confused. I thought vex ruled 3-D printed parts as unusable on a bot or controller. Did they recently change it?
Would you be able to upload the models as STEP files so that they can be more easily imported and modified in CAD programs?
Yes.
Oooo, I might have to try this out soon…
I’ll sell them on eBay as soon as I have some printed
Sure
How are you tensioning it rn?
I remember the vex made one had rubber bands but this has a smooth top
It’s nice
Two questions.
One: do you have a skin on your controller? I may need to get me one of those.
Secondly, when will this stronger revision be available for download? I have access to a 3d printer and look forward to having this for future competitions.
The link in the first post has the revisions. Antichamber just updated the Thingiverse files so the link is the same.
Would it be possible to add the step files too?
My friend has a 3d printer and we’re going to have to get one of those.
what is the benefit of this controller thing? , is it can make you to control better?
It allows the driver to access more buttons while keeping their thumbs on the joysticks.
can this also be made for v5 controllers in the future?
Actually it already has, some folks designed one for the Make it Real challenge last year. Here’s a link to it: sample text
I’m somewhat sure you can find a few other designs if you scroll through the challenges’ entries as well.
@Ken747 Please don’t revive old topics.
Here is a link to those files as STLs:
