Good job at mall!! Robot was so clean

I like the style of intake here that keeps the disc centered in the robot, I’m thinking of doing something similar. I find an intake/disc manipulation mechanism like this to be much easier to visualize in my head than something similar to the harvard-westlake robots.

i noticed that at mall and in your reveal that you where able to un one motor 3600rpm flywheel. I know that you need ball bearings to make this work, but how do you mount the axle to the motor without an insert. One team in my program tried to do that but ended up giving up.

Based on my qualitative analysis (watching Eric hotswap the motors) they used a high strength shaft collar.

Did inspection at MOA say anything about the legality of the 3600 cartridges? Or is it still dicey on its legality or not?

[image] HazeL: is it still dicey on its legality or not? Don’t think it’s dicey at all – Q&A1115 makes it clear that it is legal as long as everything is made with legal components and techniques.
