Has anyone noticed that the answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything (which is 42) is also the (practical?) maximum score an alliance can get in this game? Perhaps the GDC recognized this and designed the scoring around this number?
The max score is 45, because two robots can center park.
Yeah that’s right, but I imagine that it’d be a monstrosity just to get two robots onto the center platform, not to mention the other alliance may be angling to knock you off as well, so 42 may be the effective maximum number of points in the game.
