Would a 5:3 gearing ratio for a 4 motor(200 rpm) drivetrain be feasible. We want 3 wheels on each side but we don’t want to use a motor for all 3. So if we gear it would a 5:3 gearing ratio (333 rpm) be good or no

Yes, this can be a viable option for 4 motors. Take a look at Catalogue of Drive Gearings for more detail about the viable gearing options.

There was a discussion recently made by me and all the replies said yes but you would need to watch out for minor overheating issues. What made you guys choose to use 3 wheels instead of 4?
