My 5th grade students are on Project 4 in the Robotics and Automation module and the sensors and Touch LED are not working. They are both in the correct ports, according to the Inventory Publisher Chassis program. The motors run perfect. Touch LED is not lighting up and when the robot goes over red, the sensors are not reading it. I have reconnected numerous times, checked for any updates, etc. Not sure what the issue is. Thanks
Same issue here! Will be looking for an answer soon!
Try testing all sensors (and/or motors) from the config menu directly on the brain first. If the devices are not working by default, then check the wires on ports and then the devices themselves. If the program has compiled (ie, no errors reported) and the Touch LED is not working that would be a separate issue.
Hi scott1601 and WSSCanaski,
We’re sorry that you have encountered this issue. Is this problem occurring while using the built-in Driver Control program after upgrading to the latest version of VEXos? If so, this was the result of a feature change in VEXos 2.0.1 (information regarding this change is available in the VEXos changelog). In VEXos, the Driver Control program now includes default behavior for only the Bumper Switch; all of the default behavior for the more advanced sensors has been moved into a separate built-in program.
To access this new program, from the main menu of your Robot Brain, please scroll down to Demos and press the Check button. Then scroll and highlight Sensors, and press the Check button to start this program. The Demos > Sensors program in VEXos 2.0.1 and newer is the same as the Driver Control program in the older VEX IQ Firmware.
If you have any further questions or concerns, please contact VEX Technical Support at [email protected] or by calling +1-903-453-0802 so we can provide additional assistance.
