6th Grade Center Teams - Elementary School or Middle School?

Hi Karthik, I’m looking to understand if VexIQ students that attend a 6th-Grade only school (6th-grade center) qualify as an Elementary School or Middle school team.

According to the definition of an Elementary School team,
"Elementary School Student - A Student enrolled in grade 5 or lower or enrolled in grade 6 in a school, which includes grade 5, but not grade 7 (e.g., K-6, 2-6, 3-6, 4-6, 5-6). "

Since the school does not include grade 5 or grade 7 this seems a little ambiguous.
I looked at the registrations from last year’s Worlds event and i see teams from a sixth-grade center (Team 3148), competed in the elementary division.

Thank you for your help on this.

For a 6th grade student to be eligible for an Elementary School Team, they would have to be attending a school which includes grade 5, but not grade 7. Thus, a team composed of 6th grade students attending a 6th grade only school would be considered a Middle School Team according to the current 2015-16 VEX IQ Challenge Bankshot rules.
