Best anti-tip I’ve seen all year.
Are you referring to the forward ones or being able to get back up?
Being able to get back up.
Ya, both are really helpful, but getting back up is way cooler
Is the star knocker ever obtrusive to your driving? I’m considering doing something similar for skills only.
It does get in the way when I try to pass my alliance partner, but it’s above the field perimeter so I can still get around them.
Add small omnis to the top back of the lift tower. Then you can drive really nice on your back.
I don’t really see a point in that.
Just having the pulley wheels is enough to drive around and turn.
I don’t really need to drive around much on my back
@SamuelC (7842D) It would just be hilarious.
Ya
Team 2X did that. They’re who I got the idea from. They could drive around just as well on their back as their upright position.
was that flip and star knock at 1:20 on perpose?
Any idea what weight it can actually lift in unrealistic circumstances? It looks like it’s still pretty quick with 7 stars, perhaps it could lift the weight of 9.
I’ve only tested the in match capacity, but I think that it could probably do nine. It would struggle, but I think that it could do it.
No, it just kind of shows off the robot’s adaptability.
Update:
We’ve made a few changes.
We could get up, but we fell over a lot, which decreased our scoring rate by a lot. We now have a much higher scoring rate because we don’t fall over
We changed our claw to torque motors which has some advantages and disadvantages. We can now in practice pic up 8 stars, 4 stars and a cube, or 2 cubes and a star from being spread out in the field. We never practice with things clumped up from the start. Unfortunately, the change to torque motors has reduced our chance of scoring everything in the far zone by a noticeable amount. The amount of time it takes to score up to 4 stars has increased, while the amount of time it takes to score more objects has decreased. I’m not yet sure if that’s a good or a bad thing.
Edit:
We’re currently in the tech division.
