Is there a technical reason (ie tooth spacing) that this kit:
Gear Kit (276-2169)
(4) 12T Gears
(4) 36T Gears
(4) 60T Gears
(2) 84T Gears
are not allowed for VEXIQ? I’d like to be able to use the 84 tooth gears. Plus it would give me a stack of red gears for style points.

Hi, welcome to the forum. I’m pretty aware of the “current” largest gear size is 60t.
Vex makes a 84 tooth gear, is there some reason it can’t be added to the VIQ parts list? There are crossover parts that are allowed in V5 and VIQ. That is what I am asking, not “what is the biggest IQ gear”. Thanks
Since the vex iq gear pattern from least to greatest is usually “add 12”, (12T, 24T, 36T, etc) the GDC would theoretically have to add a 72 tooth gear in order to add the 84 tooth gear. However, I do believe the size of the V5 84 tooth gear will not match up with the size of the other Vex IQ gears. It may be acceptable if the GDC makes a Vex IQ sized 84 tooth gear, however, the V5 82 T gear will likely not fit well with any other VIQ gears.
