900mHz wireless not found

Wireless remote is not found by the brain. Both batteries are full charge, 900 mHz chip in brain and remote (and re-installed in both), Brain finds remote when tethered and will work tethered. Remove tether and Brain starts searching, but never finds.
What next to try?

Make sure the radio is plugged in all the way in the remote. Not getting the radio inserted all the way is a common problem. You may need to remove the battery cover before it can be pushed all the way in.

Steve

I just finished unplugging and plugging back in Brain and Remote radios about 5 times each. Still no joy. Had same problem with usb cable and firmware updating and removing.installing multiple times worked for it. But, not the 900 mHz radios.

If you switch the radio modules, does the brain show the searching bars?

When you unplug the radio from the remote, do you have to remove the battery?

I’ll try switching the radios around. Only have to remove the battery cover to get the radio out of the remote. Have to remove the battery and press red button on the Brain.

Switched the radios and reset them about 5 more times and the radio synced wirelessly! Finally. I can’t just drive it around, but get some movement now.

It sounds like the radio was not plugged in all the way. Glad to hear that it’s working.

Yup. Those radio chips need to be pushed in really hard. They fight back.

Hi…i do not have any experience with it. But you can try one thing just check if the radio is plugged in all the way in the remote. Not getting the radio inserted all the way is a common problem.
You may need to remove the battery cover before it can be pushed all the way in.
