A sad day

RIP Steve Jobs, one of my heroes :frowning:

He will be missed. :frowning: I don’t really like Macs, but I respect Steve Jobs. He was a great visionary, innovator, communicator, and truly one of a kind. I read that he not only founded Apple, but he also started the company whose technology gave rise to the internet, and also turned Pixar into what it is today. Also, as those who read JVN’s blog will know, he was a great designer. He will be sorely missed.

You have to be joking !! I realize I’m probably 4 times your age but really … http://www.apple.com

Steve Jobs founded Apple - the company that makes the iPod, iPhone, Macintosh, iPad, etc.

Oh wow, sorry, I know who he is. Wasn’t thinking…

I sent a friend an e-mail a few days ago…

I have been a geek since 1982, maybe even always… The Apple Computer Company was 5-6 years old when I saw my first Apple ]+, Steve J. and Steve W. have been my Heroes of the Computer Revolution since that moment…

My kids are Generation Z ( or Generation I or Generation M ), they have always had the Internet, with only 4 years on Dial-Up, They have always seen cell phones, and own a personal Cell Phone for the last couple years… I still have my Apple //e, and my kids still play Lode Runner and Microwave on it… A computer that is 2-3 Times as old as they are and they feel the Thrill I felt back then…

They have a Wii, but are interested in older Nintendo, so I bought them a Nintendo 64, and I am digging the Super Nintendo out of storage, I just need to get the Penny out of it. Don’t want to ā€œshortā€ anything out.

BTW, anyone know of a Reasonably Priced copy of the SNES Game, Earthbound??

Thanks Steve Jobs for being ā€œdifferentā€ā€¦ ā€œThinking Differentā€¦ā€ We will definitely miss you, I will definitely miss you…
