i update the cortex and now am being asked for a access code. could i please get on from u guys

For the access code, you have to call-in the phone number indicated at the bottom of the error message. If unable to call within our business hours (8-5 CST), please take a screenshot of the error message and email it to support@vex.com
Also please make sure you are running version 4.1.x on the VEXnet Upgrade Utility.
