Ai vision sensor mounting angles

Hi, I’ve found that the ai vision sensor seems to need quite a bit of mechanical adjusting to center and level an image properly. Checking if this is expected. Using webcam mode I have to turn the camera about 15 or so degrees to the right to get an image centered properly (using in this case the center of the field to align things).

I first noticed that the center X of an object was quite far off from what should have been more or less in the middle (reading for example 188 vs. 160) so I spent a while trying to debug code and eventually checked the basics …

Hi Nick,

I reviewed the picture you’ve included with a few colleagues, and this amount of mechanical adjustment to center the image from the camera sensor is not something we would expect to require.

Will you take some more photos, ideally looking more closely at the camera lens itself on the front of the sensor, and send them to [email protected], please? We’d like to get a better look at what’s going on in order to properly figure out how to help.
