I may try that. Let me go grab my soldering iro- wait- I don’t know how to do that. In reality, though, I’ll probably just unplug my mogo while I’m testing with cones.
It’s a valuable skill to learn. And you can get almost everything you need to get started pretty cheap at your local harbor freight.

besides that you should also get a sponge (which you likely already have), and it’s also good to have a solder vacuum and some solder wick in case you ever need to desolder anything.

it’s probably not worth all the effort just to make a couple of non-competition legal y-cables, but in the long run it’s a worthwhile skill to know.

I Y-cabled the control input on our expander for our 4 motor drive. Since I have a 4 motor drive I wired all the motors into the expander and Y cabled the control inputs. The 2 right side drives motors with one input and same for the left.
