Here is the video of the elimination matches from the 2015-2016 All-Washington High School VRC State Championship. Congratulations to teams 10Q, 10Z, 10D (Alliance 1) and teams 2605A, 1410L, 1983A (Alliance 3) that made it to Finals and qualified for worlds.
I was the tall Asian kid on 10D. That finals was very stressing, although I heard we won on DQ since 1410L loaded outside of their loading zone or something. Feels kind of bad to win on a DQ, but oh well.
The level of excitement was very high at that competition, or so it sounds .
My favorite part of that video. That 10 ball hoard is too OP
You have Skunkworks Robotics (1983) and Exothermic Robotics (10) to thank for that. It was so loud that I had to edit the audio to make it sound less distorted lol. I personally love the cheering. So few tournaments have people cheering for their teams.
That’s the second time I’ve seen a team get DQ’d in finals at state and in this case, had they not gotten DQ’d they would have won by a 9 pt gap from what I remember. Either way, it was an epic close match and both alliances qualified for worlds so it’s not too bad of a loss.
Congratulations on winning State and good luck at worlds.
Hi, it’s Julia from 1410L
This was a great first High School State Competition to kick off our newly graduated team–everyone did so well under the pressure and I am so thankful for all of the teams that were both our alliances and opponents!
Although, I think 10D meant to say Sehome 2605A for loading outside of the tile- We didn’t actually driver load during finals 3 haha
See you all at Worlds-looking extremely forward to everything you guys came up with!
@JLWang
Oops. Just re-watched the match. Can confirm 1410L didn’t load during Finals 3 Lol. See y’all down in Kentucky!
The other time that there was a DQ in the finals match during state in WA was during 2014 for the Toss Up season, where my old team, 7784 won on a DQ at the WA State Tournament where our opponent touched their robot during the driver portion of the match. (EDIT: They flipped their intake rollers down during the match by hand).
Congrats to all the teams that qualified for worlds at the WA State Tournament this year! It was a fun tournament for me to help set up and be a part of. There were a lot of really great robots this year!
Can’t wait to see all off you at worlds!
Didn’t 10V flip their intake down by hand?
Now that I think about, you are right.
Here is the video.
Finals Match 2 - WA State VEX Tournament: 2014
The intake was flipped down at 0:22.
Yep. Nice job winning the website challenge btw. I never got the chance to talk to you at state
Thank you very much, I appreciate it.
