@NicolBolas , it is cool, it is robotics-related, and it is in Chit-Chat / Rumor Mill. Besides, it isn’t like there is an active thread that this fits in.

@trontech569 Yeah but what’s next? There isn’t really anything good to follow up.
For example, this thread could have been called “cool non-vex robots”. That would allow the next person who sees a cool thing to have a place to put it. By making a place for them, rather than a one-off thread, it helps to keep pollution down in the long run.

A thread doesn’t need to have something to follow it up for it to be a worthwhile thread.

I’ve seen that video before, but I still wonder what the weight limit on those robots are. I can imagine that any reasonably heavy package would induce a lot of stress on the joints of the machine; the wheels, swerve modules, and the powered joint which keeps the tray level. This idea is quit cool though, and I’d like to see heavier duty versions of this concept explored.
Maybe a larger model could be made which runs on two rails and acts as a forklift for pallets
