I have a dumb idea for a new type of drive. You know how people mainly use arcade or tank for controlling their robots? What if there was “steering wheel drive”. I have this idea where you strap an inertial sensor on top of a controller so that when you turn the controller, the robot turns with it. The robot would move forward or reverse based on the joysticks. This would not be possible as of right now because you would need to connect the inertial sensor with a wire to the brain which would mean you would be to have a really long wire. It would work if you could connect the inertial sensor to the controller ports, but I am pretty sure it is not possible. This is just a concept idea and isn’t meant to be taken seriously lol

The controller has 2 smart ports I believe thay can attach to sensors.
However, what if you had to turn and drive forward, but your back is facing the fiekd and can’t see?
You cannot read any sensors connected to the controller smartports.
The old cortex controller did include an accelerometer, a few teams tried using that to drive.
