An unlimited amount of 1/8”, braided, nylon rope

We took our bot to this tournament even though it’s only half complete simply to gather data since the school did not provide us FLAT ground to work on, so expect to see clever upgrades in the near future

On a side note, since we have officially shown this bot to the public, I guess it’s only fair if I make a robot reveal soon. What parts of the robot would you guys like to see?

That’s a practice field.

Mostly the unfolding mechanism. So all of it :stuck_out_tongue:

My apologies for making assumptions.

So how exactly is the net supposed to get to the other side of the field unassisted?

I see no mechanism to do so easily

I think that it started on the other side, dropped the one post, and then drove to this side.

True.

I believe the students told me (when this was being built) that they were going to build something so allied robots could lob the stars over the net. I don’t know if that’s still the plan, I haven’t been coaching the VEX Team this semester. I’ll let Vench answer that one.

I’m just waiting to see if there’s a new rule added next year that would (directly) prevent this from happening again, such as a limit on the nylon rope.

Last year was Nothing but Net, right?

Yes

Took me a second to get the pun, good one :stuck_out_tongue:

How does this not violate G11 -

(bold added by me)

@ChrisR246 in this case, the robot subsystems are tethered together by rope.

Detached refers to pieces dropped on the field, creating obstacles for other robots.

Thank you
