Android tablet error advertising bluetooth to brain

I’m trying to connect a new Android to a brain with Smart Radio, and VEXCode IQ for Android is giving me the following error: “Error Code: BLES1. There was an error advertising this tablet to the target IQ Brain. This may have been caused by another app or the system using the Bluetooth connection. Please close the app and try again.”

The tablet (Haoqin H7) is running Android 9 (Pie). It connects fine to other Bluetooth devices. Also, I am able to connect the Brain to VEXCode IQ Blocks for iOS using an iPad, so the Brain radio works fine.

I’ve tried various troubleshooting, such as rebooting the tablet, rebooting the Brain, and re-entering the Brain ID.

Any ideas?

Well I even I have troubles with the same thing. I found a soulotion, but It might not work. If you have a Laptop Install Vexos Utilty. Here is a Link to it.
Once Downloaded open it. Connect your brain with the wire that came with your superkit. Once you connected it you will see Beta Update, Click that. It should solve your problem, but if not conntact Vex or just the Tablet you have is not compatible with it

Also @jpearman can help

It’s really hard to find specs for these cheap tablets. All I could find was this on the newegg site.

Technical specifications
Model: H7 Tablet
OS: Android 9.0 Pie
CPU processor: Rockchip 3326, Quad-core, up to 1.5GHz
Camera: Front 0.3MP, Rear 2.0MP

Expansion: Support Micro SD(TF Card) up to 64 GB
Battery: 2800mAh Li-ion Battery

Main display: 7 Inch
Screen: HD IPS 1024*600 pixels, 5 points touch-screen

WiFi: 802.11 b/g/n
Bluetooth: BT 2.1

If that’s accurate, then it only has bluetooth 2.1, VEXcode needs bluetooth 4.0 or later.

Thanks I tryed finding that tablet but I could not find it

Thanks, that’s the problem. Will look for a tablet with BT 4.0.
