Angled drive train connections

Hello for high stakes I am looking to make angled drive train connections to build a funnel.
How is this done in this photo, it looks like the standoffs are attached to shaft collars, how might this be done?

The threading of the shaft collar is 8-32, same threads as the standoff. You can buy “standoff connectors” or you can just cut a 1/2" long threaded portion of a screw with a hacksaw and file the ends neatly, to connect the standoff to the shaft collar.

? It’s the same size as a regular screw?
Thank you I will try this,
I must have thought this due to the different star drives needed.

Just a little recommendation.
Funnels are used so that if a ring hits the side of your drive, they go into the center of your robot for pickup. Currently, your funnel maks rings go outwards instead of inwards.
