Hi,
I’m very interested in the new 2 wire motors. I was just wondering, can I use the old motor controller ( http://www.vexrobotics.com/products/accessories/logic/275-1231.html ) or do I have to use the new Motor Controller 29 with the 2 wire motors?

The old motor controller will drive the new motors under light loading.

I see on the specs of the 2 wire motors that they can handle a max of 13.5 lbs. Do you know how much this is reduced? Would it be worth it just to buy the Motor Controller 29?

Long term, the old motor controller can only supply about half the power that the 393 motor can draw. If you try to pull more power, thermal protection in the old motor controller will kick in reducing available power to near zero.
