I was told that it is a common practice at the World Championships to spray the playing fields with anti-static spray in order to help keep the foam tiles clean. Though it is unclear whether or not the spray could effect the performance of your robot, I do plan to use anti-stat spray on my practice field to make it as realistic as possible.

Specifically what type/kind of anti-stat spray will be used at the Worlds?

This spray or something similar may/will be used to spray the tiles at VEX World Champs.

The spray is not used to clean the tiles, rather it is used to prevent static build up.
