Is a robot allowed to attach, in a nondestructive manner, itself to a wall or a goal for the purposes of remaining immobile?
to prevent tipping when you are reaching far out of your zone for stealing goals, match loads, ect…
The Goals, Gates, Fence and Field Perimeter were not designed to have robots attach to them. As such any attempts to attach to these field elements could fall under the realm of <S1> of the VEX Gateway Game Manual. (Some text bolded for emphasis)
Final determinations will be made by the referees at each event, however we strongly discourage teams from attempting to latch on to any Field Element in order to avoid causing any damage and being penalized under this rule. (No matter how non-destructive an act it may seem to be, we do not want to see events being delayed due to broken field elements)
