The VEX pulley kits come with 1/8" solid braided nylon rope. Is it legal to use 1/8" twisted (not braided) nylon rope? They both have similar properties in terms of strength and coefficients of friction, but I’ve found that twisted nylon rope is much easier to find in stores.
