Answered: Caging Tipped Mobile Goals Clarification

According to the illustration below, a robot swings a cage over the mobile goal, tips it, and en-cages the mobile goal. If the cage were to touch the black part of the mobile goal when tipped, would the robot be in any violation?

There are no penalties solely for contacting the black base of a Mobile Goal.

Encompassing a Mobile Goal without clamping on to or attaching to it is not illegal, per a variety of previously answered Q&A’s that can be found on page 7 of the Q&A Summary.
