Answered: Clarification of rule R16

I undersand that in rule R16 the on/off switch for the cortex must be accessible without move no the robot. I was wondering if it means the whole robot or any part of it. For example our team is planning to make a case that covers the cortex to prevent it getting hit by balls. It is a square box like shap made out of polycarbonate and is attached to a hinge so the cortex and on/off is easily accessible. Since the box must be moved is this legal?

This would left of to the determination of the inspectors at your event. Without seeing the specific design, it’s hard to give a blanket response.
