I have a number of CPUs and some of our club members claim that one of them is ‘busted’. I can’t really give anymore specifics than that, only to say that they couldn’t get their code to run with the CPU in question at a competition, and when they swapped it for another CPU they were up and running again.

Do you have a recommended test to see if a CPU is still working or not? Or is there a test program which can be downloaded and run to see if the CPU is functioning exactly as it was when it left the factory?

There is no software test that we have that can test a Microcontroller. The best thing to do is first try to get back to “Square One”. If you can download the Master Code and Default Code without issues, the next thing to do is check each port and verify it works per the Default Code – see the Users Guide.
