Eh…
Confusing problem here is. Every time we try to download a program, the message box telling me to turn the battery on or check whether the cable was connected appears:mad:.
We have changed 5computers, 6controllers, 2cables… the message box still comes.Could anyone tell me why?
Also the motors move itself as I turn on the controller (even with the receiver removed…)…
I guess, maybe virus…
**Are the computers different? What do you refer to as the cables? Have you tried downloading Master Code?
During programming the Motors can move or they can move if the unit is running Autonomous Code. A virus, I do not think so…… What are the Light on the VEX Microcontroller doing?
It may be best if you give us a call with the unit in front of you and we could do some troubleshooting over the phone.**
They’re different and completely new(but in the same network), the problem is, not only the Mastrt Code, we even tried the IFI LOADER but failed (No programming board found).
Cables? The orange serial cable…
And the motors, I mean, they just move crazily…I am sure that there is not any Autonomous Code in the program. The PROG LED, flashing, all the time.
Maybe there is interference? There is a little TV Station above us.
Eh, right, we used robotc and easyc, the robot still goes crazy…
In addition, I am wondering if we can program with a LINUX computer??
**As long as the PGRM LED is On, the unit will not work as it should. You need to get new Master Code and Default Code loaded into the unit to correct the issue.
As for LINUX, it may be possible but we do not support it.
Since you have tried different computers, Microcontrollers and all 3 pieces of the Programming Hardware, there are not many options left. There may be one bad piece that has damaged the other pieces, so you now have multiple problems.
Try using a computer at a different location - home or a friend’s house. Maybe there is a local school in your area and you can get them to help you with their known working programming setup.
After that, you can call us for an RMA Number for the repair……903-453-0802**
Well, thanks for your suggestions:)
I borrowed a laptop from my classmate and…right…it works…
Seems that the controller doesn’t like desktops…funny thing…
Glad you found a solution.
