Would it be legal to create your own programing software (like robotc or easyc) to program your robot with for a competition?

Yes, this would be legal, provided that no other rules are violated in the process, with the following caveats:

  1. Teams will be solely responsible for any errors or issues introduced by their own programming.
  2. Any teams who are caught trying to circumvent the field controls via custom software will be disqualified from the event.
