Answered: Expanding Robot Size Limits when Using a Rotating Arm

Please confirm that I am interpreting the size limit correctly when using a rotating arm. If the robot is measured at any moment in time, it never exceeds 11 x 20. However, if one was to rotate the arm 180 degrees and count the extension that could occur on either side, it would exceed the limit. I’m thinking this is okay because at no time can the arm be extended in both directions. So, operationally, it is always measuring with the 20 inch limit. Thank you.

Yes, this is legal.
